Merced High School Kiwins return to Merced Mall with their popular used book sale ~ starting 4pm Friday February 3 thru 5pm Sunday February 5.

Story Times! ~ Kiwins will be reading selections of available childrens' books throughout the weekend... a perfect way to take a shopping break with the little ones.

MHS Kiwins is a service club sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Merced. Proceeds from this event are directed towards the young members' sponsorship and organization of local community service activities.

MERCO CYCLING CLASSIC DOWNTOWN GRAND PRIX ~ SATURDAY MARCH 3rd

Here is a fun opportunity to get up close to outstanding athletes from all over the world, gathering in Merced to compete for rankings in the international arena of pro cycling.

It is so thrilling to watch as riders reach speeds above 40 MPH on the break.a..w...a....y.....

Community Fun Fair in and around Court House Park will be filled with activities ~ 10 am-4 pm

Kids 3-10 years of age are invited to ride in Merced Mall's PeeWee Classic during Saturday's Downtown Grand Prix, starting at 2:20 along a portion of the race course.  All riders must provide own helmet, bike or trike. Registration is 12:30-2:00. Line up begins at 2:20 pm with a very fast parade at 2:30 pm. All registered cyclists will receive a FREE Merced Mall PeeWee Classic T-Shirt and Official PeeWee number.

Merced Union High School District's annual county-wide ARTS SHOW will fill Center Court with a splendid array of creative designs by Merced community's most outstanding young artists.

May 4-13

Enjoy another great feast for the eyes and soul ~ Merced County Office of Education's Annual Writing Festival ~ a splendid display of creative and imaginative writings by students ~ K thru 12.

Awards are presented each morning of the festival, in Center Court, to students that contribute outstanding works. Come visit and be impressed by what flows from young imaginations.

The 2011-2012 SHOP$MART Season is open!

Merced Mall's cash-for-schools program gives community K-8 schools simple ways and means to earn additional funds while doing something we do every week ~ shop. Points may also be earned through actions other than shopping; participating in special mall events, community services, and school spirit/monthly bonus point options. Cash awards presented at end of each program period may be used for any school's needs.

Since 2002, Merced Mall has awarded over $140,000.00 to participating schools ($18,250.00 to 20 schools May 2011).

Walking is the perfect low impact exercise... especially surrounded by the beauty of nature. But, when our valley weather gets too hot, too cold, too wet, or just too yUcKy, COME WALK AT MERCED MALL... starting 8:00 am Monday-Saturday ~ 9:00 am Sunday.

The inside perimeter is one half mile. You'll meet a lot of very nice people doing the same thing (most going counter-clockwise). They also tend to wind down in the Food Court with friendly conversation and a cup of coffee.

There's also a good chance you'll find a better pair of walking shoes staring back at you from one of our fine shoe merchants' display windows.

Come join MERCED CHESS CLUB every Friday evening in the Food Court ~ 6:30 pm till closing.

Fine tune your game with seasoned players and friendly competition.

Free TOURNAMENTS first Friday of the month. Registration 6:30 pm. First game start 6:45 pm. Bring your own board and, if you have one, a chess clock. Tournament is not rated. US Chess Federation rating not required, but will be used as player strength.
